How to Enter

This is intended to be a learning experience. Beginners are especially encouraged to enter.

Entries are open only to PSA Members who have not earned a PSA Star Rating in 3D, and who have never previously won a medal at a PSA 3D Division Non-Star Competition. A PSA Star Rating in 3D requires 18 acceptances from at least 6 titles in PSA recognized 3D Exhibitions. Anyone who has earned at least 18 acceptances from at least 6 titles in PSA recognized 3D Exhibitions is not eligible to enter, even if they have never applied for their Star Rating.

After entering online, images may optionally be uploaded online or mailed to the Competition Chair (refer to Specifications for Electronic Images).

Sections

There is a single digital Open section. Each eligible photographer may enter up to four stereoscopic (3D) photographs. Any photograph that has ever won a medal or honorable mention in any PSA recognized Exhibition may not be entered in this Non-Star Competition.

Fees

There is no entry fee.

Entering

An entrant may enter a maximum of four images. There is no restriction as to subject matter.

Calendar

Closing date: Monday, August 4, 2025.
Judging date: to be determined, in late August or early September.
Notifications (Report Cards in PDF format) emailed: No later than one week after the Judging date.
Awards mailed: No later than two weeks after the Judging date.
Online Gallery (winning & accepted images) posted on our website https://www.3dpdx.org/nonstar2025.html: No later than one week after the judging date.
Catalog in PDF format posted on website with link e-mailed: No later than one week after the judging date.
Winning and Accepted Photos Shown: At the PSA Annual Photo Festival in Portland, Oregon, USA September 24 - 27, 2025.

Awards

PSA 3D Division Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
Approximately 10% of the Accepted entries will receive PSA 3D Division HM Ribbons.
Approximately 40% of the entries will be Accepted.
Since this Competition is not a PSA recognized Exhibitions, Acceptances cannot be counted towards a PSA Star.
Judges will be encouraged to provide friendly, constructive feedback to entrants.

Catalog

Accepted entries will be included in the catalog. The catalog in PDF format will be posted on the Cascade Stereoscopic Club website, and a link to the catalog will be emailed to all entrants.

Images will be shown in the catalog exactly as submitted. Image titles and contestant names will be shown in the catalog exactly as submitted.

Image creation and ownership

In all sections of the exhibition, images must originate as photographs made by the entrant.They may not incorporate identifiable images produced by anyone else (for example: clip art, replacement skies, or stock images). Images created in whole or in part by image creation software (frequently called "AI" images) are not allowed.

Reproduction: The entrant permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. The Photographic Society of America (PSA) may request specific permission from entrants to reproduce entered images in its educational materials.

Titles: Each image must have a unique title that relates to the content of the image. Titles must be 35 characters or fewer.

Specifications for Electronic Images

Electronic images submitted using the entry website must be in stereoscopic .MPO format. We recommend that you use StereoPhoto Maker if required to convert your images to .MPO format. Images submitted by email or mail may be in .MPO format, or may be in side-by-side parallel (left-right) .JPG format.
You may email your images to herbw@wiskit.com or mail your images on a CD, DVD, Blu-ray or USB flash drive. CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, or USB flash drives will be returned only if accompanied by a self-address envelope with appropriate postage.
The maximum size for each image is 15 MB.
The maximum resolution of images is 3840 pixels horizontal by 2160 pixels vertical. The aspect ratio of all images will be preserved during judging and exhibition.
